Become a Cook Forest Campground Volunteer

Cook Forest State Park is accepting applications for Volunteer Campground Host at Ridge Camp Family Campground for this summer.

Camp Hosts can camp for up to four weeks for free in exchange for performing volunteer work at the campground. Hosts will be asked to provide assistance and information to other campers, do light maintenance work, and to contact the park staff in the event of an emergency.

The park has openings April thru October. There are three campground host sites and they all have electricity but no water hookups. One site can accommodate hosts with a pet.

If you would be interested in applying to be a Campground Host at Cook Forest State Park you can get an application by visiting the Department of Conservation & Natural Resource’s website at http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/cons/ or calling the park at 814-744-8407.
