COOK FOREST, Pa. — Adventure-seekers and nature enthusiasts—lace up your boots and get ready for a scenic trek along the National Scenic North Country Trail.
On Saturday, July 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., join fellow hikers for a 6-mile guided tour that showcases the rugged beauty and peaceful landscapes of this iconic Pennsylvania trail.
Participants will meet at the Log Cabin Environmental Learning Center parking lot (coordinates: 41.34675672428117, -79.2182977028447), where a shuttle will take the group to Gravel Lick—the starting point of the hike. From there, the route leads back to the Environmental Center on foot.
The hike follows a moderately challenging pace and is a great opportunity to enjoy the fresh air, connect with nature, and explore a beloved section of the North Country Trail. Be sure to bring water, wear sturdy shoes, and dress for the weather.
