CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion County’s Autumn Leaf Festival is in full swing today with the Kronospan U.S.A. “Farmers and Crafters Day” bringing crowds of people to the area.
More than 500,000 people attend the internationally award-winning annual event.
The theme for this year’s festival, sponsored by the Allegheny Toyota, is “An American Autumn.”
Today’s events – in addition to the massive “Farmers and Crafters Day” displaying over 350 craft vendors downtown – include an additional Arts & Crafts Show at Immaculate Conception Parish Event Center and front lawn, as well as the Immaculate Conception PTO Concession Stand.
There is also a “Fall at the Mall” Craft and Vendor Show from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Clarion Mall today.
Clarion University will be holding its 2019 Distinguished Awards Banquet at 6:00 p.m. this evening at the Gemmell Multi-Purpose Room. The cost is $50.00 per person, and tickets are available through the Alumni Engagement Office.
The day will wrap up with a new event – the FUN Bank Classic Rock Concert featuring Legends beginning at 7:30 p.m. in front of the courthouse. Legends, which started out as a Clarion-Limestone faculty band, has evolved into a band that plays a wide range of commercial ventures as well as fundraising benefits. They focus on classic rock from the 60’s to the present.
While the event is free, those attending are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to benefit the Clarion County Community Bank “FoodStock.”
Other featured events coming up over the weekend include carnival rides and amusements, the antique tractor show, and the popular Tournament of Leaves parade.
The full schedule is available on the Clarion Chamber of Business & Industry website.
