COOKSBURG, Pa. — On Saturday, July 26, outdoor enthusiasts are invited to join the Friends of Cook Forest and the park naturalist for a guided hike through the Blyson Run Loop, a seldom-traveled trail in the Clarion River Lands.
This scenic route offers a blend of natural beauty and historical insight, making it a perfect summer outing for hikers of all experience levels.
The hike begins at the Clarion River, climbing steeply to the ridge before looping back down. Along the way, participants will learn about the area’s rich local history and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Cook Forest’s quieter corners. Expect challenging terrain, including steep inclines and small stream crossings, so proper footwear and hydration are recommended.
