Clarion’s Homegrown Summer Fest Brings Fireworks, Flavor, and Small-Town Spirit

CLARION COUNTY, Pa. — Clarion is turning up the summer magic this July with its much-anticipated Clarion Summer Fest, bringing a vibrant mix of excitement for all ages right to the heart of town.

From dazzling fireworks to imaginative kids’ activities and live music, downtown Clarion will be bursting with energy and hometown pride.

The festivities kick off July 3 with a fireworks display at the Clarion Mall from 4–9 p.m.—an early spark to ignite the weekend ahead.

Then, on July 5, Main Street transforms into a lively festival stage with activities running all day long:

  • Pop-Up Shops (10 a.m.–4 p.m.) will showcase local artisans and businesses.
  • Kids can explore the town with the Summer Fest Scavenger Hunt or get hands-on at the Touch-a-Truck KidZone on 6th Avenue.
  • Music lovers will enjoy the Songwriters’ Contest throughout Main Street, culminating in the Songwriters’ Sing-off at Mechanistic Brewing at 6 p.m.
  • Foodies won’t want to miss the Home-Chef Bake-Off at the Clarion Free Library, while wellness seekers can stretch it out with Yoga in the Park at 11 a.m. in Veterans Memorial Park.
  • Families and history buffs alike can join the Walking History Tour or catch the stellar “Stars Over Clarion” Planetarium Show at the Grunenwald Science & Technology Center.
  • And don’t miss the creative spirit of Artist-in-Residence Melanie Belinsky, who will be painting live from 12–3 p.m. at 6th & Main.
