LEEPER, Pa. — Cyclists from across the region are gearing up for the annual Rail 66 Time Trial, a thrilling 11.5-mile point-to-point race set against the backdrop of Pennsylvania’s scenic Rail 66 Country Trail.
Scheduled for Saturday, June 7, 2025, this exciting event welcomes both competitive athletes and casual riders to experience one of the most picturesque cycling routes in the state.
The race kicks off at 8:30 AM from Farmington Township Community Park in Leeper, PA, and finishes near Northwest Hardwoods, approximately one mile south of Marienville. Participants will ride 11.5 miles along the paved Rail 66 Trail, with traffic control personnel stationed at all 19 road and driveway crossings to ensure a safe and enjoyable ride.
In a true time-trial format, riders will depart in 30-second intervals, creating a competitive yet personal racing experience. Registration is $35 online (closing at 12:00 PM on Friday, June 6) or $45 on race day, if space is still available. Participation is capped at 75 cyclists, so early registration is encouraged at rail66tt.com.
Riders aged 16 and older are eligible to participate. Helmets are required, and for safety reasons, earbuds, headphones, and motorized or electric bicycles are not permitted. As the event follows a one-way course, cyclists should plan transportation back to the starting point or arrange to cycle the return route. Race results will be published on Rail66tt.com, where you can also access results from previous races.

Those who register by May 24 will receive a commemorative Rail 66 pint glass. After crossing the finish line, participants can enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks, courtesy of Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC (Clarion office). Awards will be given to top finishers in various age groups, depending on the number of pre-registered participants in each category.
The Rail 66 Time Trial is part of the Clarion Summer Fest’s Big Outdoors Weekend, held June 6–7. The weekend celebration features outdoor activities, unique pop-up shops, live music, and a vibrant community atmosphere in Clarion County.
