COOKSBURG, Pa. (EYT) – Put on your hiking boots and join the Friends of Cook Forest on New Year’s Day for the annual “First Day Hike” at Cook Forest.
Beginning at the new River Pavilion, this 90-minute interpretive hike will explore the old-growth forest along Cook Trail. Guides will review some of the characteristics of old-growth forest, and discuss the history of that section of the park.
People- and pet-friendly leashed pets are welcome to join the hike.
