COOKSBURG, Pa. (EYT) – Cook Forest State Park invites the public to join its “Spotting Pennsylvania’s Elusive White-tail Deer” event on Thursday, November 14.
The event begins at 7:30 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to bring spotlights and meet at the Park Office Conference Room.
The Park Office is located at 100 PA 36, Cooksburg, 16217.
The three-hour driving tour will take attendees to popular white-tailed deer viewing spots within the park. A carpool system will be organized for transportation.
The tour will provide information on the natural history of white-tailed deer as participants search the park for Pennsylvania’s state mammal.
Weather for Cooksburg on the day of the event is expected to be overcast, with possible showers throughout the evening. Temperatures will reach a high of 42°F, dropping to a low of 39°F. While participants will be in their cars, they should bring appropriate clothing and dress warmly.
