St. Joseph’s 84th Annual Fourth of July Celebration
Parish grounds located at 112 Rectory Lane along State Route 66 in Lucinda
10 a.m. – Dinner ticket sales open.
11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Traditional all-you-can-eat chicken and ham dinners will be served. Takeouts will be available from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Dinner prices are $13 for adults, $6 for children ages six to 12, and free for children under six. Nearly 2,000 dinners are served each year.
11 a.m. – Grounds will open featuring diverse games of skill and chance for adults and children, a concession stand, extensive Chinese Auction, prize drawings, and children’s features. A cornerstone attraction are the handmade quilts with several slated to be awarded throughout the day. A limited number will be available for purchase. A preview of the quilts is available at www.stjoseph-stmichaelparishes.org.
12:30 p.m. – Zero to One of Wellsboro, featuring electronic/EDM music, will begin the afternoon’s performances on the main grounds.
4 p.m. – Grand Prize drawing, worth over $10,000, will be held. Awards include a $5,000 cash prize, Pop Up Movie Theater Kit, gift certificates, and other major cash awards.

I Love Clarion Celebration
Activities begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Clarion Mall
Food Vendors: 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

– Knights of Columbus – Kettle Korn;

7:00 p.m. – Presenting of Colors by Boy Scouts of America Troop 51 and singing of the National Anthem.
7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – Veterans Appreciation Presentation
7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. – The Wrangler Band (featuring a variety of music ranging from Today’s Top 40 Country to 80s Classics to Classic Rock)
There will also be craft vendors, Kids’ Craft Corner, a casual cornhole tournament, children’s games, bingo, and music provided by C93.

Parade at 4 p.m.
The fun begins at 1 p.m. at MACA Park for the annual July 4th celebration. There will be bingo, raffles, Chinese Auction, food, softball, volleyball, horseshoes, swimming, music by TRIXX from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and splash dance.

Jolly July 3rd Festival
5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Justus Park in Oil City
The family-friendly event provides a festive evening of food, music, and fun for all ages along a spectacular view of the Allegheny River.
This year’s activities include a kid’s magic show, balloon animals, caricature drawings and opportunities to take photos with pigs from Tree Family Party Piggies. The evening also features food vendors, live music by Mostly Brass, a local favorite, and Blue Morning, a foreigner tribute band from the Pittsburgh area. Blue Morning plays classic tunes that include Led Zeppelin, Kansas, Ozzy Osbourne, Deep Purple, and Cheap Trick.
The evening is topped off with Fireworks by Pyrotecnico sponsored by the Oil City Firefighters Local 700. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Thunder Over Franklin
Dusk at at Riverfront Park in Franklin
As the culmination of the City of Franklin’s annual Liberty Fest celebration, the “Thunder Over Franklin” fireworks show will light up the night sky from Riverfront Park.
The fun will start at 7 p.m. with a concert by the Route 8 Band, which is made up of an eclectic mix of seasoned musicians from the Oil City/Franklin area.
The band consists of Rick Sabousky on vocals and guitar, Suzi Beach on vocals and percussion, Bill Warren on drums and vocals, Joe McLaughlin on bass and vocals, and John Omiatek on piano and keyboard.

Punxsutawney Festival in the Park

Punxsutawney Festival in the Park began on Saturday, July 1, and runs until Saturday, July 8.
Over a dozen food vendors, along with multiple craft vendors and non-profits, are set up for the festival through the week.
Food vendors will open at 11 a.m. daily.
Live music will continue each evening, with a full schedule of bands available here.
