COOKSBURG, Pa. – The annual Cook Forest Easter Sunrise Service will celebrate its 69th anniversary on Sunday, April 21.
Started in 1950 by Verna Leith, the Tri-County Men’s Club, and the Leeper Women’s Club, the inter-denominational service has kept its same format at the Cook Forest Ridge Campground amphitheater with a musical prelude at 6:30 a.m. followed by the service at 7:00 a.m.
More than 300 attended this service last year to enjoy inspirational music, the great message of Christ’s Resurrection, and the sun rising through the trees.
This service will be broadcast C-93 FM, beginning at 7:00 am.
This service will be completed by 8:00 am, allowing ample time for your members to attend their regular church service.
