Thanks to everybody involved in the 2009 Cook Forest River Ride!
The weather was a little chilly and drizzly, but our riders and support staff hung in there like champs to make it another great event!
In fact, we're happy to announce that we had about 380 participants this year which is over 100 more then in 2008!
About the Ride
The Cook Forest River Ride is a one-day bike ride that takes cyclists on a gently rolling route along the Clarion River. It's a fun, fitness filled day for cyclists of all levels. This year, there were two route options: 35 miles and 60 miles.
This is a fully supported ride. There are rest stops with snacks and water and a festive lunch to celebrate your finish. We provide traffic control at intersections and have HAM Radio Operators along the route to maintain communication lines. Raise $50 or more and you become eligible for prizes and awards!
You can register as an individual or get three other friends/family together and register as a team. As an extra incentive, all team captains with 4 or more total teammates will receive a special prize! All cyclists must register with a $25 non-refundable registration fee and must commit to raising the minimum pledge of $50. You will receive snacks at the fully stocked rest stops along the course, and lunch at the finish line, and an event shirt.
Whether this is your first Bike MS Ride or you are a veteran, we'll provide the tools and information to make this year's Bike MS Ride your most fun, most safe and most successful Bike MS Ride ever! But, if you find you need any additional information that isn't provided or you need additional materials, please contact the Lauren via e-mail or call 412-261-6347.
